Who we are

Pokamap US (pokamap.store) is an unofficial, fan-made map of Pokémon TCG locations across the United States — local card shops, Pokémon vending machines, and big-box retailers. We are not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Company International, or any retailer listed on the site.

Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate the map and improve it:

  • Account info — if you choose to sign in (Google, GitHub, or Discord OAuth), we receive your email address, display name, and avatar from the provider. We never receive your password.
  • Content you submit — favorites, comments, location reports, photo uploads, and community posts. This information is stored in our database (Supabase, hosted in the United States).
  • Device & usage data — IP address (used only to estimate approximate region for analytics), browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. Collected via Google Analytics 4.
  • Approximate location — only if you tap the locate button (⊕). Your browser asks for permission first. We never track your precise location in the background.

Cookies and similar technologies

Pokamap US uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure traffic.

  • Essential cookies — required for sign-in sessions, language/region preferences, and saving favorites locally.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — set by Google to measure how visitors use the site. See Google's cookie usage .
  • Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) — third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

You can also disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site (especially sign-in and saved favorites) may stop working.

Third-party services we use

  • Google Analytics — anonymized site analytics. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google AdSense — third-party ads, including personalized ads where applicable. How Google uses information from sites that use our services
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for community content.
  • OpenFreeMap / OpenStreetMap — map tiles and base data. No personal info shared.
  • U.S. Census Geocoder — public address-to-coordinate lookup. No personal info shared.
  • Vercel — site hosting (United States).

How we use your information

  • Operate and improve the map and search experience.
  • Authenticate you and let you save favorites, post comments, or submit location reports.
  • Show relevant advertising to keep the site free.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g. respond to lawful requests from authorities).

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain account data and content you submit as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing comfortone.kr@gmail.com; we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

Anonymized analytics data may be retained longer for trend analysis.

Your rights (US, California & international visitors)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising.
  • Object to certain processing.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. European visitors have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email comfortone.kr@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

Pokamap US is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal info, contact comfortone.kr@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
