Most questions are one of these.
The alarm did not ring
This is the one thing we want to hear about immediately. Linger uses the system alarm, so it should ring through silent mode and through a Focus. If it did not, tell us the iOS version, whether the phone was in a Focus, and whether the app had been closed. That is enough to find it.
My wake time moved and I do not know why
Tap the question mark on the main screen. It opens the arithmetic behind the number: the arrival time, the travel estimate, the minutes set aside for getting ready, and the slack. Every one of those is editable in place.
It says I take longer than I think
That is the measurement, not an opinion. Linger times from the moment the alarm is dismissed to the moment the phone leaves home. Most people are out by ten to fifteen minutes in the same direction.
Nothing has been measured yet
A morning is recorded only when both ends happen: the alarm is dismissed, and the phone then leaves the home geofence within a few hours. If you work from home, or the alarm is dismissed on a day you do not go out, that morning is skipped on purpose rather than recorded as a very long one.
My alarm moved for something on my calendar
With calendar reading on, Linger looks at the first event between 4am and 1pm tomorrow. If it starts before you usually arrive, a Premium subscription moves the alarm for it by itself, and the main screen says by how much. Tap Keep my usual time to undo it for that morning. An event that starts later than usual is only ever offered, never applied on its own, because a calendar read wrongly in that direction would leave you asleep.
Using Linger on a new iPhone
Your subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to a login. On another iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account, Premium is already on. If it is not, tap any Premium row and then Restore. Your measured mornings live on the phone that measured them, and move to a new phone with an iPhone backup or transfer.
Why does it want location set to Always
Leaving home is what ends the measurement, and that has to be noticed while the app is closed. Linger keeps one coordinate, your home, on the device. It does not record where you go. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored.
How do I delete my data
Delete the app. Everything Linger knows is on your phone, so removing the app removes all of it. There is no account to close and no server copy to request.
Requirements
iPhone running iOS 26.1 or later.
Reporting a bug
Useful things to include, in order of how much they help:
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- The time of day it happened.
- iPhone model and iOS version.
- A screenshot, if there was something on screen.
