Frequently asked questions
What does PokeMap US show?
A map of Local TCG Shops, Pokémon Vending Machines, and Retail Chain (Target, Walmart, GameStop) locations across the United States where you can buy Pokémon TCG sealed product.
Is this run by The Pokémon Company?
No. PokeMap US is an unofficial fan-run utility and is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Company International, or any retailer listed. We display this data for the convenience of TCG fans.
Where does the data come from?
We seed from publicly available sources — the Pokémon Center Support state listings for vending machines, OpenStreetMap for independent hobby shops, and the retailers' public store locators for big-box chains. Each record is reviewed before publishing.
I found a location that's wrong or missing. What do I do?
Open the location's detail panel and tap Report Location, or email hello@pokamap.store with the address and what's incorrect.
Does the app use Google Maps?
The in-app map is rendered with MapLibre GL JS + OpenFreeMap tiles. The
app does not use the Google Maps JS API or Google Places
API. When you tap Directions / Open in Maps, we hand off
to Google Maps in a new browser tab via the public deep link
https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=….
Is in-stock data live?
No. Stock status is informational only — for vending machines and retail chains we can't query their inventory in real time. Always confirm with the retailer or check community posts before traveling.
